State of the Art Facilities

The healthcare suite simulates the experience of working on a hospital ward.  Students will be able to practice patient care skills such as moving and handling, together with clinical skills, for example taking blood pressure, temperature and assessing wound healing whilst also learning about infection control.  As empathy is a key quality in health care, there are a number of sensory impairment and geriatric kits that enable students to experience the impact of living with debilitating conditions and the ageing process.

In child development, students are able to care for a fully programmed virtual baby where they will be assessed on their ability to meet it’s needs and will also have opportunities to create and plan play activities that promote specific areas of development and learning.

Students have the advantage of working with the latest medical equipment in a professional medical environment giving them the best skills to underpin their learning.
